Who’s your favourite and are you looking forward to Robbie Williams and Alexandra?
How about a sneak peak at Robbie’s Masterclass?
Well, what are they singing Selena?
(I hear you ask…)
Here’s tonight’s song list:
It’s Heroes Week (sounds more like Robbie Week!)
Rachel
Robbie Williams – Let Me Entertain You
Stacey
Coldplay – The Scientist
Lucie
Leona Lewis – Footprints In The Sand
Joe
Robbie Williams – No Regrets
Rikki
Amy Winehouse – Back To Black
Lloyd
Justin Timberlake – Cry Me A River
Danyl
And I Am Telling You – Jennifer Hudson
Jamie
Get It On – Power Station
Olly
Robbie Williams – She’s The One
John and Edward
Robbie Williams – Rock DJ
Miss Frank
Who’s Loving You – Jackson 5
Kandy Rain
Addicted To Love – Tina Turner
She performs Let Me Entertain You and it’s a ‘perky’ start to the show but it doesn’t float my boat I’m afraid. The backing track drowns her out at first and the dancers did most of the work. Vocally it was LOUD and I’m sorry but I just didn’t enjoy it -did you? And why have the stylists dressed her like a walking Jean-Paul Gaultier advert? Shocking eyeshadow.
The judges loved it???
Louis says it was like "Rihanna does Robbie," Cheryl says, "most pros couldn’t do what you did. They couldn’t cope with the choreography alongside that perfomance" – Dannii agrees.
Simon questions why he thought she was ‘Miss Nobody’. "I may have underestimated you, the confidence was there – but the make-up is horrific!"

Alice on Twitter says: Shoulders Ahoy – LOL!
Time for Kandi Rain…
They have had a hard time from the press about their stripping, but Robbie says they’re great fun and can’t stop hugging them. Simon’s less forgiving: "The press isn’t their problem, it’s how they sing." Ouch!
They perform Addicted To Love and I feel sorry for them – the styling is all wrong.
They want to prove themselves as singers, but they’re dressed like the Pussy Cat Dolls and let’s be honest, the singing isn’t up to par either. It was a good effort, but they need to embrace who they are and stop running away from the whole stripper thing.
Cheryl’s not taking it, "yes, when you’re doing a video and you’re an established act!"
There are a few quivers, but he holds his nerve and remains on point throughout. Good for you Ollers!
The judges see something in Olly that they do in Robbie. Cheryl says, "it’s gut-wrenchingly nerve wracking out there, I could hear that in your voice at the beginning but you totaly brought it back. I think you are a lovely genuine guy and I hope you do well in this competition." Simon’s beaming, "six months ago you had no experience and was selling electricity. You remind me of Robbie as you have this humility about you (like he does) and (he knows he doesn’t have the best voice but he’s a born entertainer) – you are an entertainer."
He’s so right, Olly is likeable with a capital L and Dannii agrees. "Everyone in the crew wants to be your friend not just Robbie Williams!"
Olly is overjoyed with the comments. Remember to vote Olly fans, he’s not through unless he snags those calls. How many of our faves have gone out like that?

I’m glad that Robbie pulled Ricki up about his eyes. He’s always looking down and really does need to look through the lens into people’s hearts and homes – some people don’t get it yet. I love him though and have to agree with Cheryl – "He connected with me that’s why he’s here!"
He performs Back to Black and although the styling is awful he sings with soul (in not a little too much concentration).
Cheryl is furious when Simon says he has no star quality and he didn’t know why he was here. "Ricki, you’ve had your confidence knocked but you’ve come back three times and I’ve got your back!"
Dannii and Louis both agree with Cheryl and thought it was to his credit.
Sack the stylist that’s what I say! I mean what’s with the dodgy jacket and hat and they had him in a dicky bow for his promo shots for crying out loud. Stop trying to use up the old wardrobe from Ray Quinn!

OH MY LORD! Someone help Stacey, she’s obviously terrified (poor thing). Some parts of the song are beautiful and others only the whales can hear. She holds her own and has the crowd in the palm of her hand by the end though..
Raw, but more to come me thinks.
Louis is impressed. "You’re a natural talent and a pop star. You’ve got it all and I love that you picked a tough song, you picked Coldplay." Cheryl wanted to see her a little more glam but thought the performance was fantastic. "I can tell that you enjoyed it by the smile on your face". Simon loves her personality and thinks it was genius to sing Coldplay, Dannii agrees.

Can Miss Frank gel as a group? I think so, they had no problems at the auditions.
If they want a group to lk like they’re ‘together’ why choreograph them to stand apart? It worked for me vocally but I woud have liked to se them bounce off each other like they did in the auditions.
Dannii begs for some rapping next week but says, "You are beautiful on your own but together you are a powerhouse. I can’t wait to see what’s to come."
Cheryl thinks they’re by far the best group. "There’s a slot right there for you in the market to say, (pop) ‘that’s mine!’"
Simon is impressed with the vocals and although he refers to two of the girls as ‘bookends’ and doesn’t know Shar’s name, he is trying to be complimentary. "It’s usually all about you in the middle, but you (Shar) – Very very good, I’m impressed".
WOOHOO! JAMIE TIME!
Why Simon why? He’s not Bolan and the music is far to loud. I couldn’t hear the first two verses and I want to hear Jamie’s voice!
Thank God he realised and raised the volume of his voice, he’s straining now though. Bad song choice but I know he’ll stay.
Louis wants to know if he’s going to be versatile enough. Dannii says, "Go with the FRO! Ignore Louis… I think you were fantastic." Cheryl wants him to believe in himself, "I still think after al the pubs and clubs, there’s still something in your eyes that says you don’t quite believe this is happening. I want you to believe because I think you are absolutely fanstastic!"
Simon says he may sound bias but thinks that was "in a different league to anything we’ve heard!"
Yeah, he saved that performance himself through pure experience. If he hadn’t raised his volume and his game, he’d have drowned in that backing track – funky fro or no funky fro. There’s only so much magic chest hair and a military jacket can produce you know!
I still haven’t been blown away…
How about you?

Little Lloyd – Can he take the pressure? Cheryl wants him to go out and show the world that he’s a pop star, but his choreographer is worried… and so is Lloyd. "I’ve never done anything like this before. I’ve got dancers behind me and the high notes…" Robbie points out that he doesn’t have to sing the big high note and he can change it to suit his voice. It’s not the same without it though, not with Cry Me A River.
Louis noticed that he didn’t get the high note, but he doesn’t care. "You’re a real little pop star." He does think the song was far too big for Lloyd and I agree.
Dannii advises him to try something a litle less ambitious next week "as you will be compared to Justin and the moves were a bit stiff with it being Week 1".
Simon is impressed and although he’s a little concerned about the notes and the moves, he’s convinced that Lloyd will be around for a while. The judges all agree that he’s a pop star in the making.
I’m not convinced. I think he’d be out quickly if it wasn’t for the Teen/High School Musical’ vote.
Lucie is up next and what a shocker, she’s singing a ballad. Vocally she’s amazing (in places) but there’s just not enough versatility and the wind machine makes me giggle – such a cliche.
Cheryl agrees with me about the versatility but wants to see more. Simon compares her to Leona. "Leona can hit those high notes in the last 20 seconds of the song, you didn’t. There’s a ceiling…" She did cross the line, her voice was cracking.
Simon adds that he’s not being rude and thinks she’ll be in the competition for a long time. I agree, but am surprised she was so nervous. You have to have confidence in your voice to take on a song like that.
I’m still waiting to be wowed!

(Laughing on Twitter: The crowd is booing the twins before they’ve even taken to the stage)
Louis put John and Edward there, is it really there fault? Louis is trying to say that they remind him of Boyzone, "people laughed when I first put Boyzone on Irish TV. Look at them now, thye’re massive."
John and Edward know that they’re hated by some and Simon is the first to say "enjoy it while you can. It won’t last long."
Louis says he likes taking risks and he has faith in the twins. They perform Rock DJ and although they’re nervous they give it their all and I feel quite sorry for them – am I bad? Vocally awful, twee and contrived but they’re trying.
It’s awful and they’re still annoying but… What can I say? They’re young guys and they’re sweet. They’re getting boos…
Cheryl hits the nail on the head. "I have got the most admiration for you two considering the amount of stick you have had over the past few weeks. You can’t sing – fact. But it’s not your fault you are in the final 12."
Simon is mortified. "I have to give you credit, you are thick skinned – I’ll give you that. It was a disaster and I think Louis put you through because you’re Irish!" Oooh controversial…
Did I just lose it for a mo?
Who am I kidding? Get rid of them!!!

Now I have to agree with Cheryl here.
All of the judges think that Joseph will struggle with Robbie’s No Regrets, but I think he could be a surprise. Robbie is confident that he can pull it off and Cheryl has every faith, "I think he can sing this song with the conviction it needs!"
GO ON LAD!
Holy cow, he’s giving it everything he’s got and is the shock performance of the night. He’s holding his notes, engaging the crowd and the melody is pure.
I have my first WOW! Love it.
The judges are going to eat their words…
Louis thinks they’ve found a pop star and Dannii says that he is no pop star, he’s "a superstar!"
Simon is overwhelmed. "Absolutely brilliant! You have a melody in your voice and it was a fantastic song choice. I think you are going to be a little dark horse."
Cheryl reveals that Jo was nervous after reading the winner would be Dannii and Simon this year. "I don’t think you need to worry about them Jo, they need to worry about you and as me old dad woud say, go on son!"
He deserved those comments – Earned!
That’s a real example of thriving under pressure.
It’s always the quiet ones you know.
I’m quiet… HA!

Okay, this one’s for my friend Kerry.
It’s time for Danyl and after all of his stateside coverage I’m expecting big things. Can he deliver? If I’m honest, I’m still waiting for something to top his first audition. Did he peak to early?
Cheryl thinks it’s a big mistake to choose a girls song for Danyl and describes Simon’s lates move as "ridiculous!" Robbie advises him to "plant his feet and give it to em!"
You know when you get the feeling that this is going to raise the roof? Mmmm…
He performs I’m Telling You (You’re Gonna Love Me) and to say he stole the show is an understatement. He started slow and steady, quiet and calm and then kicked it – seriously. Took the song and spanked it – what an ending! I loved how he flung the mic stand on the final note.
Now there’s my WOW! Simon is on his feet.
Louis thinks he’s too cocky and tells him he hasn’t won the show yet. I have to disagree and agree with Cheryl, there’s a fine line between confidence and arrogance. Danyl is on the cusp of over-confidence and that’s what makes him perform like that!
Is it me or did Dannii just question Danyl’s sexuality during her critique? "I thought it was an amazing X Factor performance but if we are to believe what the papers are saying, you didn’t need to change those gender references." What? What does that mean Ms Minogue? And besides, what does Danyl’s sexuality have to do with his singing? Isn’t that what we’re judging here? Perhaps as a school teacher he prefers to keep his ‘preferences’ to himself?
Simon is not happy. "You can’t get to him with games like that. I won’t have it!" Oooh, watch out Dannii – Cowell has claws! And after those comments, I think this blog is about to go mental…
Who are you loving tonight?
Faves? Mine are Jo and Danyl with Jamie sliding into third. Jo really impressed me with melody and charisma.
And going? Rachel.
It’s the old ‘first curse’ for her I think.
Blimey, the blog has gone nuts.
What did you think of Dannii’s comments?
