Simon Cowelll is reportedly making wedding plans and contrary to previous reports the ceremony won’t be taking place in LA or sleepy England.

The X Factor boss is set to marry 36 year old makeup artist Mezhgan Hussainy and reports suggest that the nuptials will take place in the Caribbean, onboard a yacht he will name after himself.

A source told The Daily Mail: ‘Simon sees Barbados as his home from home. It would be such a great place to get married, and the plan is to do it at sea. The idea is to pick up all the guests in Barbados and then sail to St Barts and get married there.

‘Then they’d all sail back to Barbados for a huge party. It would just be close friends and family on the yacht. Simon has been saying he’d name it after himself.’

It certainly won’t hurt that a boat will be less accessible to paparazzi photographers either we bet!

Eoghan Quigg – X Factor 2008

Former X Factor finalist Eoghan Quigg hasn’t been in the public eye much since he was dropped by his record label last year. However the singer has admitted that he still has big plans for his showbiz career and hopes to land a role in a TV series like E4’s Skins.

Quigg told The Herald:

“I love singing and I definitely want to do that, but it’d be cool to do a bit of acting. I could do a TV series.”

He added: “I’d love to be an actor and work on a TV show, I think that would be pretty cool. I’d like to work on something cool like Skins.”

Speaking about how he has spent the last year, Eoghan admitted that he went back to school and caught up with his studies but added that he plans to start working on his songwriting as soon as his upcoming exams are finished. He said:

“I’ve been back at school so I’ve been caught up in the books, but I finish in two months. It’s very different to what I was doing for the year before that, but it was actually cool to get back in.”

“Soon I’ll get my exam results and I’ll be 18 so I’ll be turning into an adult, and I’ll be writing a few songs.”

Former X Factor contestants JLS have showed their softer side by making time for a visit to cancer patients this week.

The ‘Beat Again’ singers visited University College London Hospital yesterday to meet sick teenagers.

Band member Aston Merrygold told The Daily Star: “It’s nice to be in a position to do something like this.”

He added: “We’ve had a really lovely afternoon. It’s just great to put a smile on people’s faces.”

The philanthropic band will also perform at the forthcoming Teenage Cancer Trust concert, at London’s Royal Albert on March 28th.

X Factor judge Dannii Minogue has admitted that she was ‘in awe’ of model Twiggy during their recent Marks and Spencer photo shoot.

Minogue jetted off to Cape Town along with Lisa Snowdon, Myleene Klass, VV Brown and Twiggy for her first shoot for the high street chain and told Monsters and Critics:

“I have to say I was in awe of meeting Twiggy!

“I was so nervous when I had my first photo shoot with her – just my own insecurities – but as expected she was adorable and made me feel at ease straight away, what a gorgeous woman. I now love her even more, if that is possible.”

The 5′ 2″ singer also revealed that she was much shorter than her fellow models. She joked:

“It was like being back at school in grade photos: ‘All the smaller kids down the front! Twiggy kindly wore flats and I still rocked a wedge or a high stiletto to try and keep up.”

“Minogue genes are good for lots of travel on aeroplanes, you can snuggle into a seat – but vertically, I always need some help!”

In other news, sources suggest that Dannii will not be asked back for this year’s X Factor series. Read more here.

Diana Vickers – X Factor 2008

Former X Factor contestant Diana Vickers has revealed that she was “saddened” to hear that Cheryl Cole had separated from her cheating husband Ashley.

Vickers was mentored by Cheryl during her time on the TV talent show and and says she the ‘Fight For This Love’ singer was like a mother and sister to her during that time.

“Cheryl was a great mentor and judge because she was very competitive and wanted the best for her acts,” Vickers told The Daily Record.

“She has been perfect for X Factor because people watch it just to look at her to see what she is wearing and what she has to say. She has a motherly thing and sisterly thing about her. She is warm and people like to be around her.”

“I had a lovely roast dinner at Cheryl and Ashley’s house. She was lovely and a good hostess.

“I am saddened to hear what has happened to them. I haven’t heard from her since the split,” she said. “It’s a shame because her life is a great rags to riches story.”

The Daily Star has claimed that Dannii Minogue is almost certainly going to be dropped from the 2010 X Factor series.

The show’s producers are meeting with Simon Cowell in LA this weekend to discuss the format and future of the TV talent show and insiders suggest that it is “highly unlikely” that Dannii Minogue will be invited back onto the judging panel.

It is believed that Simon and Co won’t replace Dannii and they are said to be fearful that the public will revolt against their decision to sack a pregnant woman.

An insider told the newspaper:

“Simon and his team are very wary of getting into the sort of problems the BBC has had with its female stars over age and so on.

“For that reason, the best option is being seen as reverting to the three judges this year.

“That means the seat is open for Dannii to return at a future date, although it is unlikely.”

An X Factor spokeswoman confirmed: “There is a meeting going on but it is too early to comment on what is being decided.”

Cheryl Cole seems to be everywhere at the minute but thankfully we shouldn’t see her popping up on our cinema screen anytime soon.

The ever present singer, judge and charity mountain climber has revealed that she doesn’t intend to branch into acting any time soon, though she doesn’t rule out the possibility of a cameo. In a radio interview she said:

“I don’t really see myself as an actress. I love music too much.

“I wouldn’t mind a cameo, if I could just play myself.

“But if Sex And The City said they wanted me to be in their movie, I’m there.

“My PA reckons I’m half Carrie half Charlotte. Not sure if that’s a good thing or not.”

X Factor judge Cheryl Cole has revealed that she would love to collaborate on some new music with Take That star Gary Barlow.

The pair became close during their climb of Mount Kilimanjaro for Comic Relief last year but Cheryl revealed that she doesn’t want sing with his whole band.

During an interview with In:Demand Cole said:

“You have to hand it to Take That. They’re amazing entertainers with fantastic songs and great characters.

“When they arrived on the scene, there was such hysteria.

“They are doing so brilliantly the second time around.

“I would love to work with Gary Barlow. I think he’s a fantastic lyricist but I’m not into singing with a boy band.”

Louis Walsh has revealed that he plans to release all sorts of Jedward merchandise this year and very soon fans will even be able to buy a Grimes Easter Egg!

Revealing some of his plans for the X Factor twins, the boys manager told Now magazine:

“I have TV ads lined up for them here and even Jedward Easter eggs are going on sale.”

Walsh also spoke out yesterday against Sony, after they dropped the boys from their record label. Sadly for the music loving public they were quickly snapped up by Universal instead.

Walsh told the Metro: “It’s Sony’s loss and Universal’s gain. F**k ‘em!

“Alarm bells started ringing when Sony signed them to the Arista label.

“I tried to call them the other day and no-one in the company knew who they were.”
